Through five decades of operation the UK Indie label Rough Trade label has ridden the peaks and troughs of the music business and has endured, offering an important legacy to the Independent music industry and its significant stable of artists and projects are a testament to the revolutionary spirit instigated by Geoff Travis 50 years ago.  In this edition of alt.Eighties we have a selective taste of some of the influential recordings released through the label in the critical 80s decade.
