William Tremain – Industrialist

In this episode the role of luck plays an important role in the fortunes of one of Bathurst’s most famous and successful industrialists, miller William Tremain. Originally intending to come to Australia and ply his trade of milling, William found himself running a quartz crushing plant before lady luck stepped in and opened the doorway to a milling opportunity, the legacy of which still stands in Keppel St Bathurst – Tremains Mill.
