Welcome to the first SICS Radio show of 2023. Our focus this month is on exhibitions in libraries, and we’re joined by three expert contributors: Lauren Gobbett, a consultant and librarian at the State Library of South Australia; Lucy Hawthorne of the Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart, Tasmania; and Nicholas Sparks, manager of archival collections at the State Library of South Australia. They’ll explain why institutions put on exhibitions, how they are created, and what libraries might be able to learn from museums and galleries.
