In this interview, Charles Sturt University senior lecturer in Journalism, Jock Cheetham, talks to senior lecturer in law Bede Harris about his new book “Constitutional Reform as a Remedy for Political Disenchantment in Australia: The Discussion We Need book”. Dr Harris argues that political problems in this country exist in part because of our political system. That system is enshrined in the Australian Constitution, and Dr Harris says changes are required to make our politics more democratic. He discusses his proposed model of reform.
