Fanny Durack & Mina Wylie

This week, we headed a little closer to home where we met not one BUT two Aussie Olympic swimming icons – Fanny Durack and Mina Wylie. Whilst Fanny and Mina began as competitors, they forged a close bond by fighting for female participation in Olympic sports, using their perseverance to build a platform for women that still exists in the modern sporting world today. The girls even become the first-ever female athletes to win gold and silver in an Olympic swimming event along the way.
