Progressing LGBTQ+ Rights
5 June, 2023
Conversations for a Brave New World” is produced by the Gender Network (feminist, gender and queer research and practice) at CSU. We bring global, national and local issues about gender to the Central West. Each month we share knowledge, scholarship and research about gender from the diverse perspectives of experts and scholars.
The month of June has been celebrated as Pride month and this months episode explores how far we have actually come in LGBTQ+ rights. Our expert guests Noah Riseman and Karl Zlotkowski share with us how LGBTQ+ rights have advanced in some ways, but not others, drawing attention to the challenges Trans people in particular still experience in our societies.
