The featured album was OLD DOG LONG ROAD VOL.1 by ANDY IRVINE www.andyirvine.com This is the first of two double albums containing recordings made as far back as 1961 by this true ‘living legend’ of Irish music, who has assembled an intriguing collection of songs ranging from original compositions, traditional Irish, skiffle, blues and more. Many tracks are taken from commercially available recordings, but many are from private tapes. Most are solo performances, although there are also collaborations with such groups as Mozaik and Planxty. A musical history lesson covering sixty years.
