The featured album was THE PATH OF STONES by JOHN DOYLE johndoylemusic.com (Compass) The third solo release from an Irish born North Carolina resident musician, long respected as an excellent guitarist and accompanist but in recent years gaining a reputation as a very good singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. All the songs and tunes are Doyle originals, except the lyrics of one song inspired by a W B Yeats poem, and are of consistently high standard. Assistance is provided by a select group of top shelf musicians and, overall, the album is a winner.
