The featured album was PLAYING FOR THE MAN AT THE DOOR – FIELD RECORDINGS FROM THE COLLECTION OF MACK MCCORMICK 1958-1971 (Smithsonian Folkways) This album is a three hour sample from McCormick’s enormous collection of blues field recordings, hardly any of which he published during his life. Some performers became well known while many others remained obscure.
