The featured album was THE OLD STRAIGHT TRACK by JACK THE LAD (Charisma). A 1974 album of British (Geordie!) folk rock from a band which grew out of earlier bands, Lindisfarne and Hedgehog Pie, and were considered by some to be a “north east” version of Fairport Convention. The album largely retains a traditional focus, despite using a full rock band back-line with electric guitar, bass and drums.
