Charles St John Mulholland – Geologist

Bathurst born Charles St John Mulholland was nominated for his plaque by the Friends of the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum and as such is remembered for his contribution to the state’s geology as the official ‘Government Geologist’. Dr Mulholland became particularly knowledgeable of our geology as it applied to gold mining so this episode reveals some interesting insights into his work with the Department of Mines in the 1890s.
