Blokes Don’t Talk is a series of monologues written by Vince Melton for the Bathurst Theatre Company. The series brings to the surface a variety of issues faced by men today but are issues that are not openly discussed. The series has been previously performed by the Bathurst Theatre Company in pubs and clubs around the region but have now been brought to life as a series of radio plays and podcasts. The radio series was made possible by a grant from Arts OutWest and is a collaborative effort between The Bathurst Theatre Company and radio station 2MCE-FM.Mumma’s Boy is a story about a young man whose life is driven by gang mentality and sexual crime. This monologue is performed by Dominic Bleijie and a warning that the episode is very dark and intense and deals with themes of criminality and sexual violence against women.
