Arthur Budden is remembered as a “Pioneer Rockley Entrepreneur”. Born in Suffolk, England in 1832, Arthur Budden came out to Australia in 1855. His reason for coming to Australia may have been typical of that of many young men in those days – the lure of striking it rich on the Australian goldfields. But, Arthur took a different road. Arthur Budden’s contribution to the village of Rockley is the focus of this episode.
