This week, we head to the 1930s where we met confessional poet Sylvia Plath. Sylvie is credited with advancing the confessional poetry genre and was an extremely intelligent but complex woman who used her way with words to get her through some of the toughest times in her life. She also used her poetry to highlight the domestic inequalities and patriarchal restraints on women.
